Welcome to another year of Southway’s Little Elves Artistic Showcase, where the holiday spirit and creativity of our team’s young family members come together to celebrate the season through their holiday-themed artwork.
In addition to these creative works, and in honoring our mission to build and transform communities, we are also making a charitable contribution to Roca Baltimore, A Place at the Table, and Better Housing Coalition on your behalf – our clients, community partners, design teams, subcontractors, and vendors – as a thank you for trusting Southway and allowing us to collaboratively serve our communities together.
Scroll below the art gallery to learn more about each non-profit organization.
CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTION RECIPIENTS
Roca Baltimore: No young person is a lost cause to Roca, even if they have lost all trust and hope for the future. Roca moves the needle on urban violence by relentlessly finding and focusing on the traumatized 16-24-year-olds living at the center of it. Click the Roca Baltimore link above to learn more about their intervention model and the positive outcomes from their program.
A Place at the Table provides community and good food for all regardless of means. After 20 years of volunteering at a soup kitchen, founder Maggie Kane questioned why she gets to eat what she wants, with who she wants to and for how long she wants to while those experiencing homelessness do not. So, she opened Raleigh’s first pay-what-you-can cafe! Click the link above to learn more, and be sure to stop by for breakfast, brunch, or lunch – the food and location are just as great as their mission!
Better Housing Coalition (BHC): provides a holistic, resident-focused commitment that delivers services to families and individuals that help them succeed and encourage personal potential in real and everyday ways. BHC’s vision is to ensure that every citizen in the Richmond region, regardless of their economic status, has good choices in where they live, and opportunities to reach their fullest potential.
