Southway Builders offers medical coverage through two (2) High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs) – an in-network only plan and a plan that offers both in-network and out-of-network coverage. The company pays 100% for employees only if enrolled in the in-network plan. Dental and Vision coverage is also available.


Southway Builders promotes a balance between work and personal time as well as an overall healthy lifestyle. SWB will reimburse 50% of a health club/gym membership for the employee only up to $50 per month of reimbursed benefit.


If enrolled in one of our medical plans, you are eligible to contribute into a HSA where Southway Builders also makes an annual contribution.

Auto Allowance

Southway Builders offers a competitive auto allowance to all Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents.

401k Plan

Southway Builders offers a 401k Safe Harbor Profit Sharing plan. Employee contributions and employer matching contributions are 100% immediately vested. Southway matches employee contributions by:

  • 100% up to 3%
  • 50% from 3% up to 5% compensation
  • Profit Sharing is discretionary and follows a graduated discretionary schedule.

Tuition Assistance

Southway Builders encourages employee development and recognizes that it is advantageous to both the employee and the company. SWB will reimburse all or a portion of the cost of the educational class/seminar expense(s) to employees with two (2) or more years of continuous service for the cost of job-related classes/seminars after successful completion.


The EAP provides you and your household members with free, confidential, in-the-moment support to assist with personal and professional problems that may interfere with work or family responsibilities.

Southway Internships

Southway offers a rigorous internship program for candidates to apply knowledge gained in the classroom. During our summer program, interns rotate through three assignments.

Each experience provides interns with exposure to various aspects of the construction industry.

Preconstruction – working with our preconstruction team to gain firsthand experience in conceptual budgeting, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor outreach, and final pricing.
Project Management – working on a job site with the project management team to assist with procurement, cost and quality controls, and scheduling.
Field Supervision – working on a job site with the superintendent to gain experience overseeing every step of the construction process, from mobilization through closeout.

Interns will also be assigned a collaborative group project, which they present to the leadership team at the end of the program.

Internships are posted in December with interviews and selections conducted through March.
