The historic building at 21 E. North Avenue in Baltimore has been successfully transformed from a former nightclub into a vibrant hub for the non-profit organizations Young Audiences of Maryland and Code in the Schools. This 116-year-old Tudor-style landmark, with a rich history as a car showroom, dance academy, and Odell’s nightclub, now stands as a rejuvenated cornerstone of the North Avenue corridor. The project revitalized the building, preserving its unique architectural features. This completed project is part of a broader revitalization effort in the area and now serves as a youth arts center and a center for quality computer science education, marking a new chapter for a building deeply ingrained in Baltimore’s history.
