Located at the intersection of Charles and Read Streets, the Ulysses Hotel is a testament to Baltimore’s architectural legacy. Originally known as the Latrobe Apartment House and built in the early 20th century, this nine-story Italian Renaissance-style building has undergone several transformations—from a residential complex to medical offices and back to residences. The structure underwent a major renovation, funded partly by historic tax credits, to become a 116-room specialty hotel. The modernized Ulysses Hotel now features an expansive main lobby that includes a library along with coffee, cocktail, and food services, beautifully blending historical charm with contemporary amenities.
